MaPrimeRénov’ blue: a heat pump for a very-low-income household
The calculator is set to a 3-person household with €20,000 reference tax income outside Île-de-France: the blue band. Change the figures to yours.
The blue band covers very-low-income households: up to €30,540 of reference tax income for three people outside Île-de-France, €42,357 in Île-de-France. It receives the highest MaPrimeRénov’ flat rates for a heat pump in 2026: €5,000 for air-to-water and €11,000 for ground-source. Three advantages come on top. Anah can pay an advance, up to 50 % of the grant, so you do not have to front the whole price. The CEE bonus is bought at the “fuel poverty” price, higher than the standard one. And the cap is the highest: grants can cover up to 90 % of the expense. But with the Coup de pouce, the CEE bonus alone can already exceed half the quote, so in practice MaPrimeRénov’ is often reduced. The calculator works out the amount actually paid.

Outside Île-de-France ceilings for 3 people: blue ≤ €30,540, yellow ≤ €39,148, purple ≤ €55,196. Estimate only: the Anah alone sets the grant, and the CEE amount is the one the firm puts in writing before you sign.

Grants and out-of-pocket cost for a blue household
| Heat pump and quote | MaPrimeRénov’ | CEE bonus | Total grants | Out of pocket |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Air-to-water, €10,000 | €1,015 | €7,985 | €9,000 | €1,000 |
| Air-to-water, €15,788 | €2,815 | €7,985 | €10,800 | €4,988 |
| Ground-source, €18,000 | €7,293 | €8,907 | €16,200 | €1,800 |
| Ground-source, €24,000 | €7,293 | €8,907 | €16,200 | €7,800 |
For air-to-water, the CEE bonus at the fuel-poverty price (an average €14.64 per MWh cumac in September 2026) exceeds the MaPrimeRénov’ flat rate; for ground-source it comes close. The cap then reduces MaPrimeRénov’ in all four cases: total grants are limited to 90 % of the eligible expense.
Free guidance
France Rénov’ advisers are free for everyone; for a blue household they also help put the file together and check quotes. Start with them before signing anything, especially if a firm cold-calls you promising an almost free heat pump.
If you live in Île-de-France
Ceilings there are higher: you can be blue on an income that would make you yellow elsewhere. Choose your département in the calculator and it applies the right scale.
